Best Facial Cleansing Brush: the Affordable Way for a Great Skin
Do you want amazing smooth facial skin, free of imperfections, acne or breakouts?
Then, let me tell you that you may need to find the best facial cleansing brush for you to achieve perfect facial skin.
Once you start using a cleansing brush, you’re going to ask yourself why you haven’t done that any time sooner since it’s so amazing.
Why Everyone Should Start Using a Facial Scrub Brush
First of all, this beauty product is not only for women. Men should try it, too. You’re going to see why in a second.
A major advantage of the best facial cleansing brush is that it helps prevent ingrown hairs, fights razor burns and bumps.
It’s the easiest way to make sure that you’re going to look great after each shaving session.
If you throw in a great razor, a good shaving cream, and an aftershave balm, you should not have anything else to worry about.
What about women? I don’t think much explaining is necessary because women know and understand the value of a good exfoliation.
If you’re using an epilator or a waxing kit or facial waxing strips and you get acne from these hair removal methods, a good facial scrub brush can solve part of the problem. You should use it right before removing any facial hair.
After you’ve removed the hair, apply a calamine lotion and an aloe vera gel. That should work and I truly hope it does.
It’s not only about having your skin incredibly clean, a regular washing is never going to do that. It’s also about how smooth and soft your skin gets because the dead skin cells are removed.
People with dry skin can really benefit from using a facial cleansing brush.
Also, don’t be afraid of those vibrations. They’re not harming your skin.
How to Pick the Best Facial Cleansing Brush for Your Needs
Facial cleansing systems fall into two categories:
- those that clean the skin through rotation
- and pulsating/sonic ones.
If you don’t have any breakouts or acne you can use a system that cleans your skin through rotation. Those are cheap. You don’t have to spend big to feel clean and have a glowing facial skin.
On the other hand, use a pulsating/sonic system if you don’t want more breakouts or zits. The good news is that your zits/acne have a very good and efficient enemy. The bad news is that the price starts from $100 and it can even get past $200. Not everyone can afford it.
And now, I’m going to offer you four recommendations, covering the two types, the cheaper rotating ones and the pulsating type. In my opinion, these three are some of the best.
Some of the Best Rotating Facial Cleansing Systems
1. Olay Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System
The Olay Cleansing System is one of the most affordable best facial cleansing brushes.
It has a 2-speed rotating facial brush, meaning that you can either get a deep cleansing or a gentle exfoliation, whatever you prefer. For example, you can do a deep cleansing before each hair removing session and use the first speed in-between sessions.
The kit additionally includes an exfoliating renewal cleanser that acts like a scrub and 2 AA batteries.
It’s water-resistant so you can use it under the shower, as well. After usage, it’s good to apply a moisturizer.
It’s a good makeup remover, as well, with the sole exception that you can’t use it around the eye area.

Just remember that the Olay Pro-X it’s not recommended for people suffering from acne or having zits because it might make the matter worse with its rotations.
2. ToiletTree Skin Cleansing System
My second recommendation can be used to exfoliate the whole body. It doesn’t stop to being just one of the best facial cleansing brushes. That’s why it’s also slightly more expensive.
It has:
- large body exfoliator,
- soft face brush for sensitive skin,
- medium for normal skin,
- and 1 pumice sphere.
It has just one setting because its 3 exfoliators are very gentle on the skin.
One con that I could add is that it uses 4 AA batteries. That’s kind of many batteries, especially since I’m pretty sure that you’re going to end up using it a lot. After all, you can exfoliate your whole body with it.

It’s also water-resistant so it can be used in the shower, too. All in all, you get a very good deal for your money.
Some of the Best Sonic Facial Cleansing Systems
1. Clarisonic Mia 2 Sonic Facial Cleansing Brush System
If you’ve suffered from acne for a long or short time, the Mia 2 might be the solution you should try right now. There are so many reviews that testify to its efficiency in treating acne and breakouts! That’s why it’s on my list of the best facial cleansing brush.
The Clarisonic Mia 2 Sonic Facial Cleansing Brush System includes:
- an acne cleansing brush,
- gel cleanser,
- 2 speed settings,
- 1 minute pulsing T-timer,
- cleanses the skin 6 times better than hand washing,
- and a charger.
What I like about this system is that it’s so clearly designed for relieving people from acne.

One last thing that I would like to add is that it would be good to buy a facial cleanser that contains salicylic acid. You can apply the cleanser directly on the brush, wet it a bit, and then start moving it gently, without applying pressure. Move it in small circular motions.
2. Clarisonic Smart Profile Sonic Cleansing System for Face and Body
The latest and greatest from Clarisonic is the Smart Profile Sonic Cleansing System for Face and Body.
The first improvement is the head-to-handle communication, meaning that the brush has a chip in it that communicates with the handle.
Thanks to this smart feature, hence the name, the brush adjusts the power and timing accordingly to the needs of the skin. It’s quite an improvement. It’s no wonder it’s so expensive.
The Smart Profile Sonic Cleansing System for Face and Body also includes:
- 4 speed settings the maximum there is,
- 2-in-1 dynamic facial brush head,
- Turbo massage body brush head,
- Turbo function, making it the most powerful system from Clarisonic,
- trial size refining skin polish 2 ounce,
- refreshing gel cleanser 1oz,
- T-timer,
- an ability to remove skin-damaging factors 30 times better than an old-fashion washing,
- it removes makeup 11 times better,
- brush head replacement indicator,
- stand,
- and battery life indicator plus check battery life when charging, which can be charged via USB.
You can switch between the smart and the manual mode.

This is a professional grade system so if you’re going to a spa, where you’re definitely going to spend serious money on a session, probably this identical model is what they’re going to use. It’s the most expensive but also one of the best facial cleansing brushes at the moment.
Hello, I would like to know if the ToiletTree Skin Cleansing System is a rotating type or a pulsating/sonic type. Thanks.
Hi Kay,
I couldn’t find the information anywhere but judging by the price I would say it’s a rotating one. I’m pretty sure of it because the pulsating facial cleansing brushes are always expensive.
Hi,
I would like to know if you have a recommended face wash to go with these cleansing brushes. I currently use Neutrogena Body Clear, however, it has plastic beads in it and that might be to harsh for the face. Thank you in advance!
Hi Cayley,
I recommend using a cleansing gel. There are a lot of cleansing gels out there, I usually go with brands that I’ve heard of. Plus, you need to choose one that matches your skin type and problems. If you want something expensive, I recommend the cleansers from Clarisonic or Clinique. Olay also has a wide array of cleansers.
If yours has plastic beads, it means that it’s a scrub. You can use the scrub on the days that you’re not using the cleansing brush.
I personally love the sonic facial cleanser by Monsia 🙂
Hi Monique,
It’s the first time I’ve heard of the Monsia facial cleansing brush. Thanks for letting me know about it!
Hi there Denisa,
I am planning on getting one of the Braun Epilators that comes with the Facial Brush, as well as the exfoliating brush heads. What are your views when compared to other cleaner brushes. Am I better off if I buy a better facial cleaner? Also I have really oily skin, with pimples/cysts on my back. Is it ok to use such exfoliating brushes on these areas?
PS: Can the facial brush that comes with the Braun Epilators be used as an exfoliator instead of a “makeup remover” (as claimed on their site)?
Happy Holidays!
Hi Julie,
The facial brush is good. It’s not extraordinary but it’s good. It can be used instead of a makeup remover but you can’t use it with the same frequency. Once or twice a week should be enough.
It’s a good exfoliator but I wouldn’t recommend it to women who have sensitive skin or to those who suffer from breakouts or acne. It might make the matter a lot worse. In that case, a sonic brush is the best choice.
However, since a sonic brush is really expensive, it’s best to stick to using a facial scrub because there are a lot of choices corresponding to different types of skin. The facial scrub can be used once or twice per week and in-between a cleansing lotion/gel works perfectly.
I wouldn’t recommend using it on your back either. For your back you should get an exfoliating back scrubber. It’s so easy to use. If not, use a body scrub. You can even make your own at home. Just add some kosher salt or sugar to your body gel.
I’m sorry if this isn’t the answer you were looking for, Julie. It’s just my personal opinion. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Happy holidays, Julie!
Alright cool. I got it. Thank you for your time Denisa! I really LOVE how you respond in such a timely manner, much appreciated!
